Incredible pictures...someone (or both) has a very good eye. We gotta tell you...we're intrigued by Iceland (although we might wait for the fire gods to settle down a bit). What kind of scientists? We spent the day south of Hoover Dam, driving up a backcountry road that led us to a high saddle above the Colorado River. Nobody there but us and the wind, wide sweeps of mountains and green deserts, a couple of black-throated sparrows, and yellow poppies and blue lupine. Heaven. Good luck with the next stage....
we just made the great escape from chicago. possibly the greatest escape there ever was in our family ancestry from chicago. we cycle, he flyfishes, i craft, our four month old kittens have mastered climbing up our six and a half foot tall loft bed ladder so they can sleep at our feet at night... ;) life is beautiful. we are not entirely "cave dwellers" because we thrive in exploring new areas- but we do love spending time in our home alone together; baking, reading, gardening, researching, sleeping...
